New Version of vTuner™ Has Internet Radio Fans Tuning In

New York, June 10, 1999 -- vTuner.com, the leader in innovative Internet broadcast content software, announced the release of vTuner™ for RealPlayerŽ Version 2.0. This upgrade has new features that expands upon the original concept which enables Internet radio fans to easily find and connect to feeds of live broadcasts from around the globe.

vTuner began as the brainchild of four young entrepreneurs who saw that the time for a tuner for Web radio had come. Their vision was to produce a Yahoo! for radio, listing and reviewing more than 1,000 stations by category and country and providing ratings for selection, speed, and sound quality. Stasiu Harrison, vTuner.com's marketing director, explained the rationale behind vTuner. " With vTuner, we wanted to give Internet radio enthusiasts a vehicle which allows them easy access to the overwhelming amount of broadcasts available. vTuner gives them a reliable source to turn to, with frequently updated listings of thousands of radio and TV stations and hundreds of live events."

The vTuner has impressed Internet radio fans, software critics, and business suitors alike -- word of mouth alone resulted in 200,000 downloads. vTuner 2.0 for Real Player features automatic station list updates, context sensitive help, and a listing of sports, concerts and other live events. vTuner 2.0 can be downloaded free from the company's web site, www.vTuner.com and is easy to install.

RealNetworks took an interest in vTuner and the result is the more advanced vTuner Plus. vTuner Plus integrates with RealPlayer and organizes all the stations into one place on a desktop. vTuner Plus, like its counterpart, uses RealPlayer to process audio and video signals. But it has more advanced features, including vTuner's exclusive MediaSure™ which constantly monitors stations for reliability. Listeners can also schedule stations for future playback and customize the faceplate to their taste. vTuner Plus is available from RealNetworks www.RealStore.com and costs $29.99.
